OMG!!! I didnt know this until someone pointed this out.

Okay here's the deal. Channel 5 had this new tv shows called Calefare & First Class. I didnt watch any of them because my tv was spoilt.

Then 2 hours ago, JJ told me abt this show and to search on Youtube, and I have to thank Jokersays for putting up the whole episodes of First Class. And I am begging any channel 5 related people to not take them down because, i cannot watch them anywhere else for free other than Youtube.

That's beside the point. So this show is about a secondary school with a lot of crazy teachers, which you can count with your fingers including the staff, teaches a school with less than the expected enrollment of students. The school is like super big, but the students were extremely few. There are 5 fresh students who came into the school as misfits as they pronounce it, who became close friends and under the mentorship of a teacher who has no idea how to lead. They try to discuss a lot of topics revolving school students, attempts to raise awareness but speaks little of good things.

Well well, I am here to proudly say that one of my friends, whom I worked with as monitors, is one of the stars of the show. Although she does not play a big role, but she has a lot of features, and even the website has a photo of her. She plays the character of Felicia who is supposed to be the President of the prefectorial board, who becomes the slave of the crazy Vice Principal 24/7. Till today, i have not heard her do any dialogue, but i am anticipating that moment. Really excited for her, and congratulation Phyllis Chua. Anyway, I will keep watching the show for you, though it doesnt really matter because 1 person does not make a difference.


Oh yeah, she used to have that exact same hairstyle when she was in Secondary one, when she first came, and i think she has it too... I dunno. But Good Job Girl for landing that job...

After reading someone's blog, I began wondering.

Have I been a good friend? I don't know this for sure because it's not up to me to judge where I stand. However, it seems like many people don't think that I am a good friend. Some see me more of a big brother, literally, rather than a friend. Most of the time, I can't see the clear division between these two.

I think that people don't like me as a friend is due to a few reasons.

1. I criticise very harshly. Sometimes I want to be smart and funny, but often the words that comes out from my mouth are harsh and hurtful.

2. I am antisocial. Well, that is what I think I am. I prefer to be myself rather than going around and saying empty nothings to people. I do things by myself, I dislike interferances and also I can't seem to agree to others suggestions openly. I don't know what to do or say to people, because I don't share a lot of things with them.

3. I am not the person who forgives people easily. When I am offended, rarely I will retaliate. Why? because, I know that there is no way that I can win, because when people offend others, they bring up of all the bad things you do and never the good. I have done a lot of bad things. So, I ignore them, not just during the conversation, but for days. And after I have cooled down, I dunno how to rebuild the relationship. Often, I will leave it as it is, and let the opposite party to fix it.

4. I dont stay friends with people for a long time. With a few exceptions, a lot of times, I have good friends, whom I would say so myself, however during the course of our friendship, there is bound to be rocky surfaces. Most of the time, it will bring me back to No.3.

5. I do not leave a deep impact on them. Whatever I do with/to them, is often minor, and i do not develop the relationship further. So they will soon forget about it, and consider me as just another person in the same room.

I also notice that people tend to see me as a big brother rather than a friend. I don't know how I come up with that, but that's what I think. People come to me for advise, help and everything. However, never stick with me to be friends and all, they have their own clique of friends. Whereas I, only have these few friends who i can talk to.

Anyway, hopefully this will all change when I go into college. I will change and be more proactive. I want to have a larger friendship circle, I want people to know me. There's nothing that I can do to patch up my situatin right now. And also, going into social ballroom dancing, hope I can learn a thing or two about socialising...

Okay, I have thought of a good remedy to my drama today.

Tomorrow on, I am going to work on a new blogskin. So it is going to be brand new, no more this Bulletin board which gets kinda boring. And also ever since I added the music column, it looks kinda messy.

So the new and improved blogskin will be one which you can enjoy convenience and fun at the same time. So keep a lookout for it.

Right now, I am thinking of doing something more like a stars room, a theatre walk-in or a cinema. Anyway, that will be a sneak preview of what I am going to do.

Today was hell of a day. I did the most stupid thing during the prelims and I just cant forgive myself.

No, I did not cheat. But what I did is considered by the officials as cheating. Well, during the prelims there were no real officials or anything, but the teachers were the invigilators so it still counts.

Last Night, I was super engrossed in revising for Chinese like hell. I was reading and reading and reading, and I prepared all the materials needed for the paper. I put the dictionary, e-dictionary and everything Maths into the bag...

In the morning, I woke up at 4, slept again till5 and revised for chinese again. I never looked back into the bag ever since. So here is what happens.

It was time to enter the hall for the chinese paper. I took out the dictionary, e-dictionary and everything else. I covered them under my really cool sweater that I just bought... Anyway, that's besides the point. I noticed that my friend didnt bring any dictionary for the exam. So I offered her mine since I have 2. But she declined. So I entered the hall and sat. The duration began and immediately i rushed to do section 1 because I never finished doing them during any exams. Okay, I was doing, opening the e-dictionary to search for words. I never really touched the dictionary since i first took it out from the bag. SO here is the shocking moment. The invigilator was doing a round check on dictionaries. She opened the dictionaries one by one, she at first skipped me , but I didnt give a care, I was thinking really hard on my points. Then she turned and flipped open the dictionary. To my great horror, she was pissed off for some reason and lifted the dictionary. SHe pointed out at the words "CHINESE - ENGLISH". AT that point, I was taken aback myself. I hadn't realised I brought the wrong dictionary until she checked it. I was like super scared and I dint know what to say. I was shaking at my seat as she reprimanded me abt bringing the damn dictionary, and I knew that I was going into a deep shit. I didnt know what she was saying all the while because my chinese sucked and I blanked out for a moment then. But I think she mentioned about writing a report. Oh great, not it gets worse. Everybody else is going to know and I am going to die.

True enough, for the next paper, all the teachers were like looking at me, or what i thought they were. I was still shaking from that horrible discovery. And it was maths, and it seriously affected me. I couldnt think at all because I was reflecting about the morning's experience. There were numbers all over the place, trigo signs, proves and everything. I was super nervous because my mind immediately hanged.... I was lucky that I could manage to do the whole paper, with the exceptions of a few questions which weighed a lot of marks, like 5 marks each, and a total of 4 questions I was stumped on.

Well, here is what happens. THe night before, as i have said, I was studying for chinese like crazy. While i retrieve al lthe materials, I did not stop to think whether it is the right thing. Furthermore, the Chinese dictionary and that dictionary comes from the same publisher. Hence, the outer cover looks the same. It's red with green box somewhere. Anyway, both dictionaries were side by side. SO that moment i took the dictionary, I thought it was the right one because it has a lot of fonts on the cover, which i thought the actual one had but not. I really screwed myself up this time. Because of my carelessness, it costed me my chance of doing well in the prelims... Now, the paper I had tried to do hard and well will be voided by the markers just because of that damn dictionary.

So lesson learned, do not bring the dictionary, e-dictionary is enough.

The next best thing besides High School Musical, Hairspray and Rent is THE AMERICAN MALL.

A musical which premiered on MTV last Thursday (I Think), features the producers, choreographers and dancers of High School Musical. The story is about people who works in a mall, a girl wrote a song which catches the attention of a janitor who then falls in love with her. They sang songs and were merry. However like any other, no movies can go on happily ever after, A villain who is this rich brat just like Sharpay who wants everything because she says so. So this villain wants to open her boutique store in her father's mall( the same one), then she wasn't happy with the vacant space given to her and she wants it bigger which means that she has to tear down that girl's store. However that girl retaliated, so she wants to destroy her life, and chase her away. So she stole her boyfriend and made him steal her song... and then the story goes on...

The main concern is that, this is a movie that you definitely have to watch if you cant wait for high school musical. Well the quality may not be as high as HSM, but it is still a good movie. Well you can expect a resemblance to the first high school musical. Anyway... it's the dancers that I want you to look out for because I didn't know this at first, but then I realised that this movie casted a few So You Think You Can Dance contestants.

The one who got the biggest role as one of the janitors is Neil Haskell who is an alumni of SYTYCD 3 (he made it to the top 4). Then there are 4 others you might recognize from SYTYCD 4 and High School Musical.
Kelli Baker (daughter of the choreographer and was rejected at the final callback in Las Vegas and also a major character in HSM as one of the Sharpettes in HSM2)
Matt Dorame (Eliminated during the Top 14 results, never can spot him on HSM but look out for him.)
Gev Manoukian (Eliminated by the Top 10 results, also cannot identify him of HSm but I think he was one of the dancers during "I don't dance", the one who did the head stand at the base)
And finally Thayne Jasperson (Eliminated at the Top 12 results. He is like one of the front dancers for HSM, he was a Brainiac dancer in HSM and the one who got an autograph from Sharpay in HSM2)

I think that the movie must have been shot in Utah because a lot of the dancers were Utahns and it was before the SYTYCD 4 audition started. Anyway, I dont think you can expect these dancers to bein HSM 3 because it was shot during the filming of SYTYCD 4. However, I liked the choreography of the movie, it's really cool, though the music maybe a little doubtful because Most of them who sang are not supposed to sing, they are dancers not singers...

I was super devastated today. As understood today was the release of the O level results for chinese, and in my heart I was hoping that I am going to get B3. Only a B3, not a high aspiration to get A1 for Chinese. But when I walked up to the teacher, she showed me this slip of paper

I got B4 for the Chinese and Merit for paper 3 which consists of the oral and the listening comprehension. I didnt know for sure how good merit is? and how much it accounts for the result... I was super devastated. I only wanted a B3, and they gave me a B4... In my head, I kept repeating that, which started to make me thing the examiners didnt like me. However I wasnt too bad because this result wasnt far off from the regular Exam results that I had for Chinese, but often I can get a B3, but now they gave me a B4. Still I utterly shocked to discover that the people who expressed high level of intelectuality for Chinese didnt get the appropriate results to match it. But anyway, for those who did I am happy for them. Still, who cares bout them, this is all about me!!!

Well, later I went home and just a few minutes ago, I shared the news with my mother. She didnt appear shocked nor was she excited... She feels that I had done my best and that B4 was good enough. However she did not stop encouraging me, she pushed me to go on and take the opportunity of the re-exam because she believes that I can do much better than a B4. Hence, I will be taking the re-exam later in the year.

Boy oh boy... Right now I am completely confused. I don't know what i should do or what to do. Yeah, understood that the o levels are drawing near, but I just seemed to be missing the importance of it. Everyone else had already started gearing up for the prelims and people have been pushing me to work, but I just couldnt put my head into the books. Also, at the same time my interest in dancing just rocketed, and i have been watching every now and then instructional videos, reruns of sytycd, and freestyle/practise in my room. At the same time, now that I have discovered Internet TV (thx NDP), i cant stop watching CW,CBS,Comedy Central, Nick. To add on, I am already an addict to the internet. So many things that are going on, no wonder i cant spare time to study. Unlike in the past, I used to study at night like mad, now at night, I am too tired to study. Well, I guess I just have to kick my bad habits then.

My TV is broken and I cannot watch anything... So I referred to the internet to watch the NDP and I was introduced to this program which is an all in one Internet TV.

I never knew what is Internet TV till now. This program will give hundreds of channels from US, britain, vietnam, china and more in your computer. What I am most excited about are CW which provides Gossip Girl, One Tree Hill, CBS which gives Big Brother, Comedy Central which gives Madtv, Scrubs, and Fox News which is not the main entertainment channel but shows some entertainment shows like Idol and SYTYCD. How cool is that? However a downside is that the timing in US and singapore is different primetime shows in america is morning in Singapore. So right now, it is night time in singapore, in america they are showing advertisements and news... So yeah, plan your days and make sure that you catch the encores of the show at the timing that suits you in Singapore.

Okay... Now the real deal. Next Tuesday, if i have not mentioned, is my English Oral for the O level, I am anxious and happy at the same time (yeah, you who says I can't use both words together). I hope that I can conquer it well. Also on the same day, the Chinese O Level Results will be revealed. This is what I had been waiting for a long time. I am just hoping that I can get at least a B3, and I am happy. I am very nervous right now because I know that I did not do as best as I could have done, but at the same I don't want to do it again. So B3 is all I need. I know that I did not write the correct points for the 实用文，it is supposed to be a letter of complain but i did not get the correct points to write, i think I had to write 建议, but i only wrote 原因and 结果. Hopefully, that is enough, but anyway, what accounts most is the 作文。I think I managed it well, and I hope the marker will sympathise (finally I can spell correctly) and give me high marks, I am keeping my fingers crossed. For paper 2, I am not sure if I did the 综合填空 correctly because hearing from answers compared from my friends, most of them are unmatched, but I am happy that I manages to finish it. for 阅读理解1, I will have to say that I think I did it well, because I understood the passages, however for 阅读理解2, I am rather unsure because I think I know it, but my answers were a bit weird, and also a little repetitive, wait if i remembered, I almost did not finish it, and for the last question I think I summarised my points too much that it appear cliche. Oh well... Now for 口试，I was terrible, I was so nervous, I wasn't sure how to read a couple of words, and for the conversation, I have no clue to what I should say, and my points were rather odd because I didn't focus on the main idea of Bring Your Own Bag Day, I talked more about Rising price with I said 价值？erm... I know that did not mean price but I was brain dead then, I couldn't think of a better word, I know that price items are called 品价,i thought of being clever and said the former... And also i mentioned about people embracing of the idea and support the governments motive behind this plan. That sentencee was really good when i say it in english but in chinese it sounded clever but terrible. I forgot what i said , but i remembered saying 本地人应该很有从信心的自持政府的计谋，很开内心的接受。i remembered mentioned something about 打开双手来欢迎？I don't know what the hell it is supposed to mean. Oh well, finally 听力,I was damn lucky to be sitting right in front of the radio, because I can hear it loud and clear, and the outcome was fantastic, so far after counter compare, I managed to secure 8/10 score.

oh well, that is it. Well you guys have to pray hard for me, hopefully i can get a remarkable grade...

Today is the last time that the finalists of so you think you can dance will compete for the crown and tomorrow, one of them will crown America's favourite dancer...

Anyway, the contestants were fantabulous today, we saw so many great moments in the show however the comments were rather dreadful. The judges were being all mellow and sorrow... saying that they were sad it will be the last week of the season, that only 1 of the 4 great dancers will win the title, and that they were all champions and all those shenanegans... Bleah!

I am happy to finally see Wade Robson back to choreograph one last time for this season after a long break from the show, Mandy Moore is finally judging, Courtney is dancing with so much passion and showing her emotions, the duet by the guys was amazing... WOW!!! tomorrow as mentioned will be the moment of truth (reference to another Fox show)... I really wished that Chelsie will clinch the crown but she had been eliminated last week, so right now, I am rooting for Joshua although I mentioned that I liked Katee, but Joshua did stand out from the pack, whereas katee was all the same every week, good good, liked it, loved it, good technique, beautiful, and all those. Courtney, well she wasnt strong enough but she is happy to be able to learn from the show and that's good enough, while twitch, i guess he has to be happy being the 2nd runner up.

oh boy, today i had terrible day.

I woke up with a cold, had a blocked nose and was sleepy for the entire day. I lacked concentration, focus and energy for the day. And it affects my oral practice today, I read like a tired dog and i couldn't think clear. Anyway that aside, today we finished watching yet another English movie during Chinese lesson. So far, we have watched I Am Sam which is a very touching movie but all the dumb dumbs watching them thought the movie was dumb, have some sympathy you idiots, then we also watched The Pianist, the movie that kept on repeating on HBO and Hallmark, very nice movie about an experience of a man who is a jew and went through the ordeal of the genocide, and the audience were terrified because of the gory scenes, it's a movie for christ's sake. And to day, it was the end of the Gridiron box, a movie about juveniles/criminals, who changed because of football, they were losers turned Winners, but some remained a loser, missed the chance of being a winner. I cannot wait for the other movies that will be shown to us.

And I am still hoping that High School Musical will be next to watch. Next Tuesday,is the D-day, the Chinese O Level Results will be revealed... I am Psyched...

Today in school, we had the opportunity to witness one of the most awesome dance styles of the century.

NUS dance synergy came to our school and introduced the background behind the contemporary dance or what they call it modern dance. They performed 2 pieces of choreography of unknown choreographers and they executed the routine well. However I may say that the guys were not strong because well the lifts werent beautiful and elegant, the stretches werent to the fullest, and the kicks werent as high as the girls. Furthermore, there was one guy who at the second performance missed the beat, and he tried to fulfill all the choreographies and instead screw up the choreography. Why? because the girls were dancing in chorus while the guy was still at the back doing what the girls were doing, in other words he didnt synchronize.

Aside from that, the presenter showed a few videos of contemporary which dated years ago. There were ballet pieces, classical contemporary, and also TRAVIS WALL of SYTYCD 2. Comparing his work to their work, I think the NUS Dance Synergy team needs to work doubly hard. Anyway, they are going to do a public performance of unknown time and location with promised choreographies from NAFA choreographers. I am so excited to go and watch, I really want to see how brilliantly singapore's Contemporary Choreographies will look like on stage, because for real, I wasnt satisfied with the work of The NUS DANCE SYNERGY today. If I were Nigel Lythgoe on SYTYCD, I will say that they were just a mess, nothing special about them, the moves were too forced and stiff, it needs to be more fluid and the transition must be smoother.

On the side note, I didnt find it surprising to notice that Zhonghua students dont understand the chreography routines, maybe because they were a mess or probably the music was too loud. They couldn't understand the pieces, most of them were unaware of what they were doing, and some was even lamenting on the worst assembly programme. THis proves that the Zhonghua body is not artistically inclined as to what they thought they were. They didnt even know that the choreography has ended... I was like clapping as I noe that the choreography has ended, clued in by the outro of the music, but they thought they the team will still continue to dance? Well, I would not want to further criticise their artistic knowledge.

NOTE: Not everyone who acts like that guy who presented is gay. It's just the way they are, while others are naturally gay.

hey people, what's going on. as you can see i added something new to this blog. Yeah, it's the new music corner exclusively with lyrics. and also the background is blue fish, which was previously this beige wallpaper which was pre-made with the template.

anyway, i was wondering, why arent you guys tagging anymore? I mean everytime i come on the blog and check the tagboard, no seems to be saying anything anymore. I would really love to hear from you guys and I want to interact. Hold on for a while, is it because there are only 18 people or less visiting the blog and you think it's not worth to talk now? well, i hope it's not. So come on over to the tagboard which is so much easier now to go to rather than last time when you have to scroll way way down to tag. So ya, hope to talk to you soon.

Sometimes it's odd when you talk to someone about something, and it will always end up that you will talk about your future. here are a few of the future talks that I had this week.

I talked about what i want to be when i am older, and i said i wanted to be a father... but actually the conversation was directed to just when i am in my twentys. Well, i don't know what to say, i don't even know what i want to do yet... My plans now is that I want to start a family before i am thirty, open a business hopefully (thinking of hotel), and be an actor or dancer part-timely. Where I live is not decided yet, it all depends how i do in my studies...

Another future talk is that I spoke to a girl (unnamed) where will be furthering our studies because we are both not locals. And also we also shared our secret hobbies, and i told her that i dance. And she was like cool. I find it easier to share stuff like that to girls because if you tell a guy that you dance, he will give you that look and the next word that comes from their mouth is "...". Yeah, fill in the blanks. Back to the real thing, she was like okay with it and she was very supportive, she said that it was unfortunate that the dance team in the school is not very strong and it only concentrates in chinese cultural dance. I agreed and told her that i was more interested in ballroom and contemporary dance. then we were talking about whether we will pursue our arts talent and she was saying that CJC is a good school to further the arts. Then talked about CCAs and everything, it was really enjoyable to be able to open up to someone once in a while (aside from blogging), after all i am the type who doesn't like to interact much, what people would say a loner or emo. WHATEVER.

I was so sad that my favourite did not make it. Chelsie is a brilliant latin/ballroom dancer, however her solos were getting bland as the weeks passed. Especially her performance solo was lousier than her results solo. She always did latin solos which is very weak when you are doing it alone. Furthermore the song she picked for her solo was Pussycat Dolls' When I grow Up, which is the worse song in history to do a latin with, and the portion she used was the bridge which transitions into the chorus. Then for the results solo, she switched it up to a jive, which was way more fun than her latin solo. How I wished she had did that solo earlier then she could have been in the top 4. Still, the top 4 contestants are brilliant dancers and I canot wait who they will crown as the next champion for SYTYCD.
