    Stupid rain
    Saturday, February 28, 2009

Last few weeks, it's been a hot hot period that Singapore experienced. Bushes light up in flames, water bodies are drying up, the fields turning from green to pale brown. The highest temperature recorded was 35 deg Celsius. And then this week, it rained really heavily... For the whole week, for the whole day, the sky felt tired of carrying those bulks of water then it just dropped all of them to the earth. Yeah, my expression sucks.

I got sick. both of the rain and literally sick. I feel weird on my soft pallate and my nose is blocked. All thanks to the rain. I just wish that the dry spell can continue until the march holidays.

This week was super duper. I achieved my aim of lessening my lameness, showed my serious side, silent side and mean side. HAHA, sorry to those who i practised them on. This week was super busy with double presentations. I had to quickly submit my OSAP application. Actual Chinese lesson started formally. And we were introduced to the NY/DC trip by the Economics department. It sounds interesting and everything, but I simply doesnt see what the hullabaloo was all about. Anyway, it's simply discriminating against international students because we are lowly subsidised for the trip. I don't understand why Singapore has to be biased towards us International students. Singaporeans who migrated to other countries are fairly treated by the government, well at least in the case of Indonesia, I just don't see why the same thing cannot happen for Singapore. Anyway, after all the point of singapore accepting International students into their education system is to make them stay here. How are they going to do that when they keep pushing us away with all these high costs. And you wonder why many are not staying and settling in Singapore...

Anyway, this week I went to TP, thomson plaza, starbucks to do homework. It's been a long time since I've been there. I used to go there a lot with my guardian's family because of the Circus Circus Arcade there. Then when it closed down, we kinda stopped going there. Anyway, it was raining then. And at starbucks, the fan kept blowin at me, hence the explanation to my weird soft palate and blocked nose. THANK YOU!!! anyway, at starbucks I wasn't doing much anyway, I don't have my texts and I was sleepy because of my symptons... I spent the whole time lounging and looking at a team doing their project work... It was hilarious and it gave me the opportunuty to gain an idea of what their idea was and to develop questions to shoot them. Haha, but someone wasnt actually answering the question when i asked the team, I decided to not continue to question them because i feel that they are not worthy of my suggestions/questions. HAHA...

    XOXO,
    T

If you notice, I don't mention many people's name in my blog, but you get the hint of who the person is. After all, it's me at all.

In 2008, Rihanna released her true potential as a star. She released many hit songs from her album Good Girl Gone Album, and then she rereleased the album, including new songs and a DVD, Good Girl Gone Bad:Reloaded.

Rihanna is widely known for her all time best song Umbrella. Other songs that boosts her career further includes: Shut Up And Drive, Please Don't Stop The Music, Hate That I Love You, Take A Bow, Rehab, Disturbia, and Breaking Dishes in the US. Most of her hits have reached billboard's top 10. Unfortunately, she had to experience an awful tragedy that she has to take a break from her career. Currently, she is recuperating and we all wish her all the best.

While, Rihanna is out on Hiatus, someone else has to take over the throne. Who else than Lady GAGA!!!

Before releasing her own debut album, Lady Gaga was a singer-songwriter. She was discovered by Akon and now she has a big hit and debutted Just Dance featuring Akon. Just Dance was a worldwide hit since it was released April 8 2008, in Singapore it was so a year after. Gaga has released many of her songs from her debut album THE FAME, and many has reached the charts. Such songs include, Just Dance, Beautiful Dirty Rich, Poker Face, Eh Eh(Nothing Else I can Say), Love Game. All have videos shot and released. Below are the the videos respectively

If you watch really closely, all the videos are interlinked some ways. Just Dance and Beautiful Dirty Rich, It took place in the same house as the setting. Beautiful Dirty Rich and Poker Face, there was gambling going on. Poker Face and Eh Eh (Nothing Else I can Say), there are those 2 big spotted dogs. Eh Eh (Nothing Else I can Say) and Love Game, Lady Gaga has this very big hair. Anyway, that's beside the point.

All I want to say is that, go BUY HER ALBUM!!! Support Lady GAGA!!!

    Week 2
    Friday, February 20, 2009

2nd week after settling in NYJC, it's finally the start of real lessons... So far, I have not felt the rush of JC life, I am still enjoying myself. I met most of my teachers this week, and there were stand out good teachers and some who weren't.

2nd week is also when CCAs are getting people to join their company. So far, I signed up for Dance, House Exco and Squash. I did the squash trial, admittted that I have played squash, but still sucked... I have no ball sense in conclusion. Then I went for House Exco Interview and I was so confident that I did the the interview marvelously. However, while being interviewed, I discovered many really unknown rules and regulations which kinda make me think 2 about my decision. I didn't know that House Exco is a CCA and should be the only CCA. I didn't know that House Exco is going to be as tough as Student Council. I didn't know that House Exco is going to be time-consuming. So the day after, I decided to exit my run for House Exco. So right now, my official CCA is dance. And also, I am thinking of submitting my entry for SLE, it's just a thought.

Now, I know that you are going to be really shocked to find out that a dude like me will participate in dance. Well, there are a few reasons for it. 1st, I like to dance, and watching the mass dances created by the Orientation Committee, they are doing the ballroom moves wrongly, and a point of time, I almost shouted the mistake. 2nd, I have no ballsense, so I don't do sports CCAs, like Rugby (I was actually pulled to join), Tennis, Basketball, Soccer. 3rd, I am a wimp, so I don't do aggressive CCAs like Judo, Pugilistic and ODAC. 4th, I wanted to join AVA/Photography/Debate/CNNY, but they are very time consuming and needs a lot of brain work. 5th, Dance is the stand out CCA that got my attention.

This week, I was also a whole other person. I was really quiet and peaceful during the orientation, but this week, I decided to let loose and go wild. I revealed my quirky self and made a fool of myself. This is just a phase for me to break the ice. Once, the ice has broken and melted, I am returning to my real self and accomodate to the JC culture. You have not seen the real me till you see the real me. Muahahaha, so don't expect me to be this quirky all the time, I am not a joke.

    Orientation
    Monday, February 16, 2009

I promised an Orientation post, so here it is.

Okay, at first I dreaded Orientation, especially when I am a participant in it. When I entered the assembly ground (hall, duh), I already screwed up by losing my class, or orientation group. So I spent time shifting from group to group and finding the right group. Day 1 was really unexciting, it was all screaming, jumping around and dancing stupid moves to A Night To Remember. To be clear, the cha-cha-cha is not a cha-cha-cha, the timing is right but the steps are wrong. Then we play some lame games and i embarrassed myself while doing the scizzors paper stone, japanese version. I was to enthusiastic until i fell on my bum just trying to get away a hit from a girl. and when it's my turn to hit, i was too enthu again and i hit her too hard. then the day is over and it's home time, WOOHOO!!!

Second day is the sentosa day and it's so damn freaking hot out there. I was completely tanned after the day. We played games and such and still had to scream. Before all that, we spent our time waiting for hours for the lunch to arrive. and it didnt arrive until a game later. okay, aside from that, we had our class dinner at vivocity. we sat at the atrium eating our food court meals. We spent time chatting, getting to know each other and sharing interests. End of Day 2.

Third day is a short day. We came to play more games, cheers and that's it. Afterwards is the exciting CCA Bazaar. 30+ CCAs came on stage with their stuff and then it was the CCA booths. I signed up for Squash, Dance and House Exco. I missed the Squash try-out because I had to attend an International Students Meeting Tea. WE were welcomed to the school by the staff and wanted us to get to know each other. and then it's the student pass thing and then Day 3 is OVER.

Then, It's the final day. We had to play more games, cheers and our last dance session. This time our games is getting down and Dirty, with water and detergent. It was gross because I felt weird with my butt crack all slippery. Then it was mass dance again. Finally it's the most exciting part of the Orientation. IT's disco nite. We danced the night away and was all sweaty and gross, again. Then we had to wait for half an hour for our Orientation Group LEaders to come to pass us a farewell note. And that's the end Of Orientation.

Reflection: It was hell week with a great ending.

    Yey!!!

It's way past 14th February. And as promised, it is the reopening of ME-AT-ALL. Haha, the suspense that I kept you for this event. Well, I don't think that anybody will actually come to witness the reopening anyway, but I am going to hyper myself to enjoy this event.

Okay, so everything that you need to know about the blog is briefly explained on the home page, so if you need to go back there, click on the title of the magazine. Okay, now it's late, so I'm going to get some winks and be back tomorrow to share with you my experience in NYOrientation:Madagascar.

    1 more week
    Saturday, February 7, 2009

Hey guys, it's one more week until the official RE OPENING of Me-At-All! Are U guys excited? Certainly I am because I think that this skin is the best one I've done although it is not an original idea and concept. Hence, to whomever I may have snatched this idea/concept from, Thank You ;)

Anyway, I don't think that I should stop my blog posting because of that. Anyway, this whole week has been crazy. It was the first week of College life, Junior. I was of course offered my least preferred choice again. I tried to appeal to another better JC, but I didn't make it. Anyway, looking at the bright side, being in this JC is not that bad. Yeah academically this JC's cut-off is not as good as the one's I wanted to go to, but the facilities are new and the school environment is serene. yeah, i don't think i used that word right... anyway, u get what I mean. Furthermore, I got my subject combination here, the same one that I would have gotten in that other JC, so no difference anyway. In contrast, in this JC i don't have any close friends with me, so I would have to learn to support myself through thick or thin. Or I will have to make new friends, which is kind of hard.

So, next week is Orientation week, or more commonly known as hell week, as in my case. I am not very excited with it because I seriously want to continue studying. After 2 and a half months of holiday, I miss studying. Furthermore, this week, we had started with lessons, and it is kind of sucks to put the lessons on Hiatus for a week. Still, orientation week has a purpose. I will try my best to enjoy myself. After which, I will study hard to get a scholarship...

Okay then, remember to come back to Me-At-All on 14th February 2009 to witness the re-opening of this blog. Till then, I'll bid you goodbye...

    XOXO
