This whole has been crazy... had 3 tests, and i have been studying the whole week, how crazy is that, it's like witnessing a solar eclipse.

anyway, i really need a lot of help with chinese, I cannot believe i failed the test miserably... first of all, it was on a topic that we have not learned yet, and I am simply clueless about several words... The passage was easy to understand as a whole, but the words are pretty hard to deduce... ARGHH!!! I need a chinese SOS!!!

Changed the song... this one is kinda very salsa remix of a pretty old song that I love back in the days... yeah, how long ago can it be? anyway... So during that Chill out session after Friday's Dance practice, I kinda told the people the timing for salsa and Chacha, i think from this song you can catch the timing, 123-567-, 4 and 8 are silent, and 1 and 5 begins when the bongo hits... try to getting the rhythm. And for chacha, yea I was kind of wrong, it is not 123cc567cc, but 12ccc56ccc, i think it would be easier counting that way. Hey, I learnt them by myself, so forgive me i get confused with the timing okay...

Dose of Post

it's weekend again, and today was areally good day. The whole week i slept pretty late because i had to do PW stuff and some tutorials. Today I woke at 11, 4 hours of lunch+TV+Practising, and then 4 hours of nap. Now i feel all awake and everything, but i can't seem to get the urge to study. At the same time i feel all my eye bags are shrinking, my eye lids feels very heavy, but my mind is too light... I think i am sleep-drunk...

I always tend to forget this... I took a whole night few weeks ago to remember this word. So what is that thing in your brain that makes think you what you are will make you who you are... that thing when something happens, but didnt and you felt that it did...

Just saw the trailer for Singapore Idol... Seriously, i wonder what kind of delusional beings would want to audition for this nonsense popularity contest?

This show is slowly turning into a disaster with all the changes and revision to the contest format. It started out good because they finally found real talents in a bunch of nameless auditionees. However, as the years pass and the show growing larger, people are gettin sick of this consistent search for fakers and imposters who tries to be fantasia or Kelly clarkson. They are trying to screw the show by voting for the worst, hence the dawn of votefortheworst.com. clearly, they tried to minimist the possibility of this happening, they changed the format and it turns out to be destroying the whole essence of the talent contest, it is now all about of gaining popularity, superstardom and fame. if you wanna do that, there's an easier way to do it, which is sextape. if really they want to seek out for the best singers, the people should be given the entire chance to pick whose the one, the judges and talent scouts should also have their say. or else, it would just happen to go downhill like AI right. Heard that Paula Abdul and kara dioguardi may not return, Simon is sick of the competition, and only boring and insignificant randy is confirmed to continue for at least another 2 years... oh well, they might as well shut down the entire project now that it's falling apart...

I have been this whenever i see this year's national day song, and I evaluated it to be bad, here are the reasons...

1) electrico performed the song. They are a rock band for Singapore's sake, not everybody can accomodate to the awkward music orientation of rock. After listening to song a couple of times, I still could not get myself to the least say enjoy the song. It was all sad and uninspiring. I understand the objective is to reach out to the younger generation, but why are the elderly neglected?

2) The lyrics are total nonsense. I understand that it is supposed to be like all nice and politically correct, however seriously the rock band is singing about destiny, moon, stars, and island. The lyrics is comparable to this year's Idol crowning song, all way to gay. The melody is great, the lyrics just doesnt match.

3) The video is really stupid. I don't understand the video at all. It features the Marina barrage, which is like this new thing in Singapore. However i couldnt understand the transition from which it was night time when the video started and it turned afternoon by the end... what does that symbolises. Secondly, why is the frontman of the rockband running like a retard towards the end. I mean like for whole 4 minutes he is singing and he was supposedly to stage a performance of that barrage, but he catwalk for 3.5 minutes and 0.5 minutes to run to the mike?! what does that mean? no sense of urgency?

4) The song is in English. usually when the english version sucks really badly, the chinese version is better. Well this year, it is totally english, and it really sums up the badness of the theme song. And why there isnt a chinese version? is it because they can't translate the lousy english lyrics into chinese? why are the non-english speaking population deprived of the chance to celebrate the NDP with a song?

5)people can't sing the song because of all the weird lyrics and weird melody. what is a theme song when people can't sing along to it. This year's theme song is a complete failure. not only are the lyrics weird, the melody awkwardly low and inconsistent timing, the theme song is just bad and a failure in all.

In conclusion, bring back all those pop singers who have been singing the national day songs.

now, this is what i call good theme song. In 2003, Stefanie took a second time to produce a theme song, and indeed it worked really well although the song not as well publicised as the other years... One United People has got to be the best NDP song since the year Singapore started having one. here are 5 reasons why

1) the lyrics although heavily tagged with the word Singapore, but they are very powerful and not as cheesy as the other years. It was precise and strong, there was no shenanegans of singapore having to battle obstacles, no chasing of moons and stars.

2) the melody and music is really good. It was haooy and cheery throughout the whole song. The best part was when it began, with this strong beat and subsequently the rest are very nice with a lot of Chinese, malay, indian essence in it.

3) the video is very real. there was no cheesy acting, there was nobig groups of people coming together and smiling to the camera. It was all stefani and her learning to dance the line dance, silat, chinese opera and bollywood. It was really nice especially when all the dances came together by the end of the video.

4)It was totally singable, every word has a certain tune to sing to. There was no belting, no tweaking of melody, no screaming, and it is singable at regular person's vocal range. and the portions when the tempo sped up a little, makes the song very catchy and fun to sing to.

5) this was the song that I sang to when I was in Primary school when I had to attend the NDP rehearsal, I really loved it when she came out to sing while the fireworks lit the sky in thousand colours... while i watched, I mouthed the lyrics along with stefani. it was really really good.

I am sure if any other year were to produce a new NDP theme song, it wouldn't reach the beauty and goodness of ONE UNITED PEOPLE. And I really think Home is overrated, I don't think it's that nice at all, still one united people has to be the best NDP song. This NDP, i will be playing this song while electrico sings their disaster song.

Hey Hey guys... I changed the blogskin!!! i noticed the old one was experiencing some problems and I thought to myself, "how should I de-bug the problem?" And then i came up with a solution, don't. Then I went skin surfing on the web and found a really cool template and here it is. though it looks kind of cramped up, But i think overall presentation is nice...

So, there you go. Since I am going to be busy, i won't have the time to change the skin as often, so I guess this will be permanent until I get the chance to reformat it, found a new song, thought of a new banner... But i am positive that I can update more often thanks to blogger buddy, which i am using now. And also I added a twitter update there as well. Yes, I twitter some times, so catch on my latest update here, or my twitter page or facebook page. These are some of the network sites i regular visit and update... the rest are pretty much abandoned and left to rot...

just finished my revision tonight. I just found out that it is very troublesome having to sketch 10+ graphs in one night.... argh...

Okay I am about to sleep now and I just have to say I am loving the Blogger Buddy function on my sidebar. It makes posting really quick and easy and i don't have to load the webpage and everything... I guess I will be able to update the blog more often. and did you notice that I posted some stuff already earlier? yeah... how cool is that...

John Wakefield

Wow, this show is really worth all the reviews. Harper's island is like the series of the year.

So the story was about a group of friends returned to an island, called Harper's Island. Henry and Tricia are getting married and Abbie, Henry's best friend, is invited to the wedding. Abbie has a scary past on the island. Her mother was killed there in a John Wakefield rampage. Now that she is back, she experiences a whole new experience of her own. Murders went on the island while th wedding ceremony proceeds. One by one visitors and residents of the island die. Nobody knows who or what was going on, but they had one clue, someone is imitating John Wakefield. However, they had no solid proofs. While they stayed in search for the true culprit, more lives are lost and each time they had the opportunity to leave the island, a whole new problem arise and forced them to remain on the island. The longer that they stayed, the higher the risk of them being killed. As episodes pass, they gained more clues, and found out that John Wakefield was never dead like what Abbie's father, island Sheriff, thought he did years ago. Now everybody knows that John Wakefield is alive, they are more terrorized and scrambled to find way to get out of the island. However, due to some climate conditions, their plans have always been postponed. Often they have never seen John Wakefield, but people are dieing. then, they knew that one of them is an accomplice to John Wakefield. Now, they are trying to figure out who is that person. Clues point out that it's Jimmy, Abbie's love on the island. people start to get suspicious with each other, but Jimmy got most attention out of it. Even with Jimmy accompanying Abbie all the way, people are still dieing. Yeah, John wakefield is alive, but he couldnt possibly be the one who plots all these deaths. then came the last episode...

Jimmy was not John's accomplice. It was Henry. How did I know? He came clean in that episode to everybody else who's alive before killing them. And then we found out that Henry was John's son, the one thing that Abbie was very nervous that she was as evident from the journal she got of John's life in the prison. Their plan was to kill off Abbie and leave the island's history as a history. However Henry thinks not, he finally killed his own father and let Jimmy and Abbie alive. He locked Jimmy away and kept Abbie in his house. Why? because of some stupid reason that Abbie told him when they were kids that she wanted him and her to live on the island alone forever. That's why Abbie is still alive. Jimmy is alive because henry wanted to put all the blame of the murders on him. Abbie is terrorized by that, and she tried to find a way to escape the island with Jimmy. In the end, Abbie killed Henry and they finally left the island. The end of Season 1

I dont think that there will be any season 2 because there is no one on the island any more and the island will probably be in police lockdown for many many years. Unless they come out with a new storyline, we sure can be satisfied with the story of Harper's Island.

ECP

What do you get when you first see ECP, well i think that it is East Coast Parkway, you know the highway. Then my first were talking about it, and they corrected me that it was actually East Coast Park.... Oh what the hell i just added a way in it... and some point that sounds funny...

anyway, last friday i actually joined my friends to ECP to cycle... i was like thinking maybe we could do something more exciting because after all it is ECP, there are many things to do there, so i thought that it was going to be an exciting outing....

So i arrived to meet my friends fashionably late... yeah, i am a celebrity like that. So they were waiting there and they told me while waiting they had a lot of 'fun' doing all those crazy stuff as people approach them... haha... glad i wasn't there and make a fool of myself...

So there were 6 people fr the gathering... the usual 5 and 1 extra.. haha, nah... he's just a life-less person who makes studying his pasttime... So we talked about a whole lot of nonsense while on the bus to ECP and indeed he was life-less... he and us make no connections in our conversation. It was annoying at times... but we started to laugh at him...

then we arrived at ECP and walked like half an hour to a like far distant bike rental store... and i was like damn... we past like 5 or so similar stalls but we have to go to that one... anyway, yea we cycled like for 2 hours and my butt was sore just after a few while... so whole procedure is like this...

it's getting dark already and we are going to disperse but my butt is hurting and i cant walk properly... so i suggested resting at a bench... then it moved to the beach... and it's more camera moment...

so i did a split with whiner and took a photo... wait, that sounds really wrong... well, interpret that however you want... and we decided to do jumpshots, but apparently we couldnt get one where everyone looked really good while floating on air... we were tired just by jumping... then we walked back to parkway and sent off 歪歪, then made our way to the food junction..

while walking we saw like bright lights shooting on the bushes... then there is this one guy that was pointing at something say that there is a transmitter and i was looking for it, by silverwind was like damn pissed at the guy because he was trying to act smart in front of the girls he was with...

so we went to the food junction, but i made my way to the supermarket to buy me some 7up. then i met them inside the food juntion, and the 2 guys apparently had plans and decided to leave... so i am left there with silverwind and whiner and bought myself some carrotcake... it tastes bland, i have not tasted one for a long time... so i don't know how this gfood tasted long time ago... but i think it needs more salt and pepper, especially on the white thing...

after that we sat and talked a lot of stuff... then we went back to the supermarket, well for me at least, and i saw the group of girls i saw earlier in the supermarket still at the supermarket... seriously... how long do they need to hangout at the supermarket... get a life seriously...

so the girls, bought some drinks... then we left for home... while waiting for the bus for like 16 minutes or so as stated on that board things that updates itself at non fixed intervals, i told them how i felt about the outing... and they were like trying pull me into loving cycling... erm... okay... if cyclin doesnt hurt your crotch, i would be the biggest fan...

so the bus arrived and we boarded and sat like at the back seats... like seriously... then we talked a lot more before we parted ways... i wont tell you what we talked about in this post because apparently it deserves a post as itself... an anyway, this post is kinda long already... on second thought i won't post it because i promised silver wind that i won't because apparently there were a lot of mean stuff being said...

First week

Okay, so this week was the first week of a new semester and apparently we were greeted with tests and examinations. Sadly I only managed to be half greeted because i was quarantine for the first 2 days. And today was the last day of my paper that is. Tomorrow was assigned to be the H1 papers day, so good luck to all those who had to go through it.

Today was Chinese Paper and it was a long and tiresome ordeal. The day started at 12 noon and dragged on till 5+ evening. I had a headache just by reading too much Chinese by 3. My head was throbbing, but i pulled myself together and managed to do the paper although quality not guaranteed. I tried my best to make use all of my Chinese power to sit through the whole day.

So it ended and I felt relieved because i finally can rest from reading chinese materials, although i was a little crushed because i gave up on an 8 mark question, but hopefully i managed to get some points from the nonsense i wrote. Anyway i went back home, and tried to get a remedy to this headache. I tried by eating wafer and no it didnt work. I tried lieing on the bed, but still this pain in my head persist. Then i remembered i have not finished watching WHOSE LINE IS IT ANYWAY? on youtube. So i logged on to my computer and started watching. I laughed so hard that the pain went away and shifted down to my jaws... But seriously i enjoyed the moment which last for 4 hours... they are really funny people who are smart and witty... how i wish i could be like that and start to make more of a fool of myself... yeah, like i have done enough....

anyway, now i am trying to cure the strain on my neck which i had since morning. i think i woke up from the wrong side of the bed. I tried to rub ointment, but apparently the pain doesnt react to the heat... hope it gets better tomorrow....

Yeah, I know that it is july and i know i owed you guys some things...

1) A new cover, will be done in a few days, you can expect a new one next week.

2) Lady Gaga videos and photos from her showcase. The videos are kind of disorientated, i am trying to find a way to reorientate them, so please be patient. The photos have actually been posted on my facebook account, so trying to looking for it there.

3) A new post... well, here it is... and more coming in the near future.
