Superstars of Dance

Last post, I was very frustrated by what I saw on Votefortheworst. This post, I am still going to show frustrations.
There was a show on NBC called "superstars of Dance" not too long ago, it was a dance show produced by nigel lythgoe and simon fuller. well, mostly nigel lythgoe i think because he produces a lot of dance show. Dance teams from 8 countries (China, India, Russia, South Africa, United States, Argentina, Ireland and Australia) come together and compete for coveted title of Superstars of Dance.
Okay, that is just the brief description. This show is very different because there is no voting system from the public, it all boils down to the judges to decide who wins the title. Sometimes, you may think that the judges are always right, and that public voting is always a problem to talent shows. True. However, judges are imperfect creatures themselves.
Watching the show, They made comments about how the dancers are not putting in a lot of dance elements into the choreography. Seriously, what are the dance elements you expect. Not every dance should have the same techniques. Different countries will have different elements in their choreography, dance is not universal, dance depends a lot on what the country exuberate it itself along to the music.
furthermore who are they to judge whether the dance is weak when i believe they can't even do half of what they do. Saying that they have seen other people done it, they can do better, technically they are the same, it all depends on the energy put into the choreography. I believe that judging dances should be all about the energy, emotions, fluidity and synchronization that the dancers put in. They should not judge on technique, tricks and what should be in the choreographty unless they are a professional in it, if they can actually show or have done it, proving that they could have done it better.
still watching the show, and i was really frustrated by what the judges say, " i want more, there's no dancing". Seriously, how much more of dancing do they want? How are they to judge dancing when they don't even know the culture of dance in that country? Stupid judges...
As of Times-Chambers dictionary, Dance is the movement to music. so if the dancers can move well to music, they are good dancers. If they can put in techniques into those movements, they are better dancers. But who to judge that their dance is inadequate when all along the judges are only focused on their own field of dance.
okay, talking too long. I'll end now.
XOXO
